I actually tipped a winning bet last week.  The Tottenham versus Bolton game was abandoned during the first half after the horrifying events at White Hart Lane when Fabrice Muamba suffered a heart failure.  Thankfully he has since made progress on the road to recovery.  However, the cancellation of that game meant that is was voided, making my treble a double on Manchester United and Newcastle, who both won their respective games against Wolves and Norwich.  The tenner staked would have returned £25.23.

So over six weeks, tenner a week, that’s £60 staked for a return of £25.23.

That’s a loss of £34.77.

Newcastle United 1-0 Norwich City

This week I’m going for a five game accumulator.

Middlesbrough to beat Bristol City (4/6)

Southampton to beat Doncaster (1/3)

Torquay to beat Port Vale (EVS)

Dundee to beat Raith (4/6)

Stranraer to beat East Stirling (2/5)

On the off chance that I can follow last week’s small win with a win this week…

£10 with William Hill pays £103.70.

I’ve probably expended my luck with last week’s winning tip, so you probably want to swerve my tips this week.

Torquay United to beat Port Vale, EVS with William Hill.

The entire world of football waits united as one, hoping that Bolton Wanderers midfielder Fabrice Muamba recovers from the heart failure he suffered on the pitch at White Hart Lane on Saturday.

The tragic event that unfolded during Bolton’s away game at Tottenham Hotspur in the FA Cup is a true horror story.  Muamba collapsed on the pitch late in the first half with the score tied at 1-1.  He was taken to the London Chest Hospital where after two hours doctors managed to get his heart working by itself again.  Fabrice Muamba is stable but still ill and in critical condition at London Chest Hospital in intensive care, but still fighting for his life.

The worldwide football community has united in Pray 4 Muamba and everyone hopes he will make a speedy and full recovery.  The #Pray4Muamba Twitter trend quickly caught on and yesterday Gary Cahill revealed a ‘Pray 4 Muamba’ t-shirt after scoring for Chelsea against Leicester City in the FA Cup.  Real Madrid players also wore t-shirts before their match as a mark of respect and best wishes for Fabrice Muamba.

I hope he pulls through and is back to his best real soon.
